Dog Whistle

A form of political messaging in which coded language is employed that appears to mean one thing but has another meaning to a subgroup. Dog whistles are often employed by politicians signaling to white supremacists that policies will have racial effects, without explicitly stating racist intent.

Ku Klux Klan

The Ku Klux Klan is a white supremacist hate group that targets African Americans. The Klan is a reactionary white nationalist group that is anti-immigrant, anti-Catholic, and anti-Jewish, among other groups.

Privilege
